The psychosocial unit serves clients who come due to mental health symptoms or life crisis situations. The body can be physically restless when life circumstances feel overwhelming.
The Neurosonic Professional chair is in the unit's treatment room. The program is selected together with the client through conversation and by mapping the client's situation. Settings are adjusted individually. Clients have described a warmth starting in the legs and spreading through the whole body. Relaxation happens without conscious effort.
Effects have been observed particularly in sleep. Sleep quality has improved and clients report more vivid dreams. One client with long-term insomnia falls asleep in the chair every time. She always says that the moment she is sitting there, she sleeps.
