At its core, Harmonia works the same way as every Neurosonic device. Low-frequency vibration, delivered to the body, to influence the autonomic nervous system. The programmes either activate or restore the nervous system, supporting recovery, sleep quality and the reduction of stress. What is different is the form. Harmonia consists of slim elements that lie flat beneath the mattress. It integrates into any bed without raising the mattress height, and its elements are length-adjustable so the vibrating elements reach every part of the body as they should.Like all Neurosonic devices, Harmonia is controlled through the Neurosonic app. From there, you choose a programme, adjust vibration intensity, set a timer or alarm, and build your own custom programmes. The app library also includes programmes recommended by other Neurosonic users. Available on both major app stores.
Worth knowing: because the technology is brought into a more compact form than in larger Neurosonic products, the vibrating elements may produce slightly more audible sound. How much depends on the programme and the power level in use. If Harmonia is placed directly on a slatted base, the slats can create additional resonance. Make sure the vibrating elements have room to move freely. More on that below.
Which Beds Does Harmonia Work In?
The ideal position is beneath the thickest mattress. If your bed includes a thicker topper of around 10 to 15 cm, Harmonia can sit beneath that instead. If you feel the elements through the topper, move the device under the main mattress for better sleep ergonomics.
Harmonia can also be placed directly on a slatted base. If this creates too much resonance, place something between the slats and the device: a camping mat, a yoga mat.It works in motorised and adjustable beds too. Position the elements away from the fold points and route the cable out through the head of the bed to keep everything in place.
Sofa cushions work as well. Place the device beneath them, with the power cable at the head end.
One principle applies everywhere: do not place Harmonia directly on a completely hard surface. The vibrating elements need something to move against. A thin buffer beneath the device ensures the vibration reaches you as it should. Using Harmonia under a futon on a hard floor without any padding is not recommended.
