Iiro Koskinen, who works as a sales manager and is living highly busy family life, got to know Neurosonic for the first time through his work. We received Firstbeat measurement data from Iiro and Iiro’s subjective feedback and both are showing the impact of Neurosonic technology on Iiro's well-being very clearly. Measurements have been made between autumn 2020 and winter 2021. The Neurosonic motorized bed arrived to Iiro at the end of December 2020.
Prior to the active use of Neurosonic, Iiro's high stress levels lowered the overall result of the entire Firstbeat measurement. According to Firstbeat, Iiro was under stress at a level that could be classified as normal at the time, but the body did not break the stress state or move into a restorative period until sleep time at night. Restorative period also began quite late, because although bedtime was daily between 10 pm and 10.30 pm, the recovery period often only began between 1 and 2.30 am. The heart rate variability during that time was 45ms.
After the bed arrived to Iiro’s home, every night from 9:30 pm to 10 pm, Iiro used a 39-minute relaxation program at 50% power. Based on the measurement data, it is possible to see that the restorative period starts immediately at the beginning of the program or at least reduces the stress levels to zero. Iiro feels that falling asleep is also considerably easier and falling asleep always happens either during the program or immediately after it ends. Based on the data, the previous short recovery time has been considerably extended, as it continues until the wakeup time arrives – and because of that there is up to 3 hours more recovery hours per day than before. A positive reaction is also seen in the heart rate variability, which has risen to around 70 ms. Nothing else has changed, only change is that he uses Neurosonic-technology.
In his feedback, Iiro also points out that their family had another child at the end of November, which means that the improved results of the period (about 20 overall points 2020 vs 2021) have been achieved despite the baby sleeping in bed and waking up to eat at night. Otherwise, according to Iiro, his routines follow a normal family routine with children; to sleep between 22.00-23.00 and wake up at 7.00, sports three times a week (floorball / padel), work on weekdays 8-9h and in addition walks with dog and outdoor activities with children.
Iiro highlights the increase in the amount of restorative time. In the 2020 measurements and before the purchase of the Neurosonic motorized bed, the overall result of each measurement was that the body’s resources have fallen from baseline. In the measurements made in 2021 with the help of Neurosonic, the body's resources have remained at the same level throughout the measurement, ie the amount of stress and recovery has leveled off. According to Iiro's experience, all of this is generally reflected in better coping in everyday life and feeling more rested in the mornings than before.
Marco's comments to the test period presented above
The dramatic change in Iiro’s recovery for the better is just one of hundreds of cases we’ve witnessed, but it illustrates with excellent clarity the impact of Neurosonic technology on the nervous system. The increase in heart rate has been significant despite having a baby in the family to keep awake at night! Likewise, the quality of sleep has improved and is reflected in better alertness and endurance. This also contributes to the reduction of perceived stress in everyday life. The importance of recovery cannot be overemphasized and Neurosonic as a company specializes in promoting it. Better recovery and improved sleep quality have a significant impact also on disease prevention. It also has a positive impact on all social life at work and in leisure.
