Fressi x Neurosonic – Customer-Oriented Wellness

Fressi, one of Finland’s largest gym chains, is dedicated to promoting its customers’ well-being by offering a wide range of tools for exercise, recovery, and increasingly, health services. Nearly all of the chain’s 60 locations feature a Neurosonic chaise lounge. 

 

“Whenever a new Fressi location is announced, the first question we get is whether it will have a Neurosonic,” says Anna Meriläinen, Fressi’s Sales Director. Nearly all Fressi wellness centers and Fressi 24 gyms are equipped with a Neurosonic divan, and every new location includes it as part of the Relax by Fressi concept. “The Relax by Fressi setup—consisting of Niqama back therapy chairs, massage chairs, and Neurosonic divans—provides our loyal customers with a space to relax both body and mind, recharge, and optimize their performance. This investment reflects our vision that wellness is more than just exercise,” Meriläinen explains. 

 

Fressi’s passionate commitment to wellness is further underscored by its Health by Fressi concept, which has already been introduced in a couple of Fressi’s wellness centers. This concept includes services such as laboratory testing, specialized medical and physiotherapy clinics, bone density measurements, and dental care. “Our goal is to support our loyal customers in all aspects of well-being, in addition to traditional gym training, personal coaching, and group exercise. Meriläinen first encountered Neurosonic about ten years ago and, based on her personal experience, decided to test the chaise lounge in Fressi’s Espoonlahti location. The feedback was positive, which encouraged Fressi to gradually expand the service to  additional locations. Meriläinen emphasizes the role of staff in encouraging customers to try and use Neurosonic: “Our staff ask customers whether they’ve already tried Neurosonic, guide and demonstrate how to use it, and sometimes even tuck them in with a blanket for their session, wishing them a good nap.” 

 

According to Meriläinen, the response to Neurosonic has been exceptionally positive, and the devices are almost always in use. Fressi’s customers have praised the chaise lounge’s ability to deliver instant relaxation and improve sleep quality. “For each customer, Fressi’s services mean something different, but for many, Relax by Fressi is the core value. Some of our customers, for example, purchase a monthly membership solely to use Neurosonic three times a week—and that’s it,” Meriläinen notes.
